This course recap traditional IT project management practices, underlining their drawbacks on top of which are justified the foundations of agility. The implication of agility on traditional Information System Development Life Cycle are then presented. The core part of the course is about specific agile methodologies with a focus on eXtreme Programming and SCRUM. The course covers the main Software Engineering practices that are usually used in conjunction with agile methodologies. Dedicated topics will also be covered such as scaling scrum to large teams, contracting with an agile approach and human resource aspects of agile teams. The class is organized as a mix of topical lectures and real-life case analysis.
